Documentary Screening of Mama Bears with Filmaker Q&A

Seattle First Baptist is screening the documentary film Mama Bears on Friday, January 31st. The film follows mothers of LGBTQ+ children who leave their conservative, fundamentalist churches to champion their children and advocate for their rights. Mama Bears was an official selection at many film festivals across the country, including South by Southwest, Seattle Queer Film Festival, and Seattle International Film Festival.

The event begins at 6pm with a wine and cheese reception, we will screen the film at 6:30pm (there will be movie snacks available), and we will have a Q&A with the filmmaker, Daresha Kyi, after the film (around 8pm). This event is free and open to the public!
