Help Plan the First Hill Find It Fix It Walk
Mayor Ed Murray is fixing to walk the First Hill neighborhood with residents and business owners in July to get a sense for the community’s needs.
The First Hill Find It, Fix It Community Walk, the fourth of six planned this year, will take place on Tuesday, July 11. In advance, the city is holding two Community Walk Action Team meetings to develop the walking route and gather community volunteers.
The first team meeting will be held 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 13, at the Skyline Retirement Community, 725 Ninth Ave., Floor 24. The second will run 6:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 27, at the Skyline Retirement Community, 725 Ninth Ave., Floor 24.
For Seattle residents wanting to report desired safety improvements or city maintenance issues now, the city recommends doing so through its Find It, Fix It mobile app.
The Find It, Fix It community walks are organized by the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, which is also announcing $3,000 is available to complete community projects or address safety needs. To apply for a Community Project Grant, go to seattle.gov/finditfixit.
