Horiuchi Park Work Parties coming in October

P-PATCH COMMUNITY GARDENING PROGRAM

HORIUCHI PARK P-PATCH

Horiuchi Park, at Boren Ave and E. Spruce St is converting to a P-Patch community garden. A grant to the Seattle Housing Authority and help from the 2008 Parks and Green Spaces Levy are funding construction of 25 one hundred square foot community garden plots. By early October, construction will be finished and future gardeners will complete the work: backfill soil, install the tool shed, build compost bins and more. Plots will be assigned to those who help complete the work.
